A Global Standardization Collaboration Platform

The Standardization Working Committee of CIAPST, together with the League of Arab States, the African Union, and other international organizations, co-founded this new cooperation organization. The initiative aims to promote global standardization processes, enhance international technical exchange and cooperation, and forge new models of collaboration in the standardization field.

Zheng Hualin, Deputy Secretary-General of CIAPST and Director of the Standardization Working Committee, explained that the newly established organization will focus on developing and promoting international standards to ensure global consistency in product and service quality. This effort is expected to reduce technical barriers in international trade, enhance the global competitiveness of member nations, and foster technological innovation and knowledge sharing.

Significance and Future Impact

The organization’s establishment signals a shared commitment to global development and governance. It reflects a forward-looking approach to addressing challenges in standardization and international cooperation. By pooling collective expertise and resources, the organization will contribute to efficient standard-setting, avoiding redundant efforts, and providing innovative solutions to global challenges such as climate change and environmental protection.

This initiative is expected to inject new momentum into global standardization efforts, opening avenues for deeper technical collaboration and more inclusive international trade.
