On September 14, the World Frontier Science and Technology Conference and the 23rd "Belt and Road" Technology Transfer and International Cooperation Innovation Forum were held in Beijing. The event was hosted by the China International Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology, the China-Arab Youth Entrepreneurship Park Management Committee, and the Arab States-China Economic and Trade Cooperation Innovation Center, in collaboration with the Association of Arab Universities, the UAE Vision 2031 Global Strategic Partners Center, the China-Arab Joint Chamber of Commerce Ningxia Liaison Office, the China-Cambodia Technology Transfer Center, the Morocco AI2SD Global Summit Organizing Committee, and the International Code Identification Industry Alliance.
The event was organized by Qingda Yunbo Technology Co., Ltd., ZK Huaring Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd., the China-Arab Technology and Culture Transfer Platform, and the Health New Materials Committee of the China International Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology.
The forum, themed "Sharing New Opportunities, Creating a New Future Together," brought together elites from social organizations, academia, and the business world to discuss key topics such as promoting technology transfer, strengthening international innovation cooperation, and advancing the transformation of scientific and technological achievements within the framework of the "Belt and Road Initiative." The event served as a platform for fostering exchange, mutual learning, and win-win cooperation among participants. It also aimed to contribute to deeper multi-level openness, drive high-quality development, and inject new momentum and vitality into promoting the strategic partnership between China and Arab countries while advancing the construction of the "Belt and Road."
Grand Scale and Unprecedented Impact
The event attracted over 500 representatives from universities, research institutions, enterprises, and organizations across 16 countries, including Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Egypt, Singapore, Syria, and the United States, as well as the United Nations Association of Friendship Organizations.
The forum was hosted by Lei Yutian, a CTV17 program host, and Fang Haoming, the chief reporter for China-Arab TV.

In his speech, Duan Miyi, President of the China International Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology (CIAPST), emphasized that the association was established to promote international scientific and technological exchange and cooperation. He stated that China's scientific and technological development is increasingly interconnected with the world, and global technological progress increasingly relies on China. CIAPST will continue to serve as a bridge and a link, strengthening international science and technology exchanges and economic cooperation.

Shen Baogen, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Vice President of the China International Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology, and Honorary Chairman of the Arab States-China Economic and Trade Cooperation Innovation Center, highlighted in his speech that since the launch of the Belt and Road Initiative, significant progress has been achieved in scientific and technological cooperation between China and Arab countries. Both sides possess unique technological advantages and resources, and through strengthened exchanges and collaboration, they can achieve complementarity, mutual benefits, and win-win outcomes.
The Arab States-China Economic and Trade Cooperation Innovation Center was initiated jointly by the China International Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology and the China-Arab Youth Entrepreneurship Park Management Committee, in collaboration with 154 business associations, research institutes, and think tanks in Beijing. China and Arab countries, as important partners, have a solid foundation and great potential for cooperation in the field of scientific and technological innovation.
Shen emphasized the need to strengthen collaboration in areas such as climate change, establish closer cooperation mechanisms, enhance talent development and exchange, promote joint research and development projects, advance the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, and enhance overall technological innovation capabilities.

He highlighted ongoing efforts, including the preparation and initiation of the International Carbon Code System, which has received active responses from "Belt and Road" countries and the international community. The launch of the International Carbon Digital Infrastructure System marks a significant milestone in implementing the Paris Agreement and serves as a key indicator for accelerating the integration of green and digital transformations in global industries.
The signing ceremony for the establishment of the International Carbon Code System Headquarters in Thailand was witnessed by ambassadors from Thailand, the UAE, Egypt, Jordan, and Morocco, as well as representatives from political, academic, and business sectors of 16 countries, including China, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, and Thailand.

Key Collaborative Projects Signed, Exceeding $10 Billion in Agreements
Significant cooperation agreements were signed during the event, with total commitments surpassing $10 billion.
During the forum, multiple significant signing ceremonies were held, unveiling 50 collaborative projects across five countries—Saudi Arabia, Thailand, the UAE, Morocco, and Jordan—fostering in-depth, multi-sector cooperation.
A series of key agreements were signed, including partnerships between the Arab States-China Economic and Trade Cooperation Innovation Center and the UAE Vision 2031 Global Strategic Partners Center, China National Machinery Industry Corporation Ltd., the Morocco AI2SD Global Summit Organizing Committee, Tianjin Construction Engineering General Contracting Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Special Zone Construction Science and Industry Group, Thailand Regent Holding Co., Ltd., and the International Code Identification Industry Alliance (ICA). Additional agreements were inked between Beijing Qingda Yunbo Technology Co., Ltd. and the Moroccan Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer, with total cooperation commitments exceeding $10 billion.
Building Bridges for Youth Exchange and Strengthening "Belt and Road" Ties
The forum emphasized fostering youth exchange to promote closer ties and deeper engagement among countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative.

During the forum, the World Youth Civilization Exchange Forum was officially launched under the guidance of the United Nations Association of Friendship Organizations and hosted by the China International Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology and the Arab States-China Economic and Trade Cooperation Innovation Center.
Before the launch ceremony, Duan Miyi, President of the China International Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology, Mohammed Al-Suwaiyel, Co-Chair of the United Nations Association of Friendship Organizations, Member of the Saudi Economic Affairs and Development Council, and Chairman of the Communications and Information Technology Commission Board, along with Mostafa Ezziyyani, Chairman of the Moroccan Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer, met with student representatives from eight schools in Beijing.
The participating schools included Tsinghua University, Beijing International Studies University, Beijing Minzu University, Beijing Union University, Peking University Affiliated Primary School, Beijing Second Foreign Language Institute Affiliated Elementary School, Haidian Zhongguancun First Primary School, Haidian Foreign Language School, and Beijing Keystone Academy.
Student representatives Xing Yifan, Sun Yichen, Xing Xuyuan, and He Xiaohe were awarded honorary certificates recognizing them as World Civilization Ambassadors and for their Outstanding Contributions as International Youth Volunteers.
