2024 China • Changyuan Corrosion Control Industry Expo Opens with Focus on Innovation and Collaboration

On October 18, the 2024 China • Changyuan Corrosion Control Industry Expo officially opened at the Changyuan International Convention and Exhibition Center. Themed "Empowering the Future with Technology," the event brought together over 1,000 corrosion protection construction companies and more than 5,000 project managers from across the country to showcase the latest innovations and transformative potential in the field of corrosion control, driven by technological advancements.

Event Highlights

The three-day expo is jointly hosted by the Coating and Corrosion Protection Technology Innovation Branch of the China International Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology (CIAPST), the Henan Corrosion and Protection Association, and the Changyuan Corrosion Industry Association, with organization by the Henan Coating Industry Association, the Changyuan Corrosion and Building New Materials Industrial Park, the Anti-Corrosion Circle APP, and Zhongke Xinda Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd.. The event is supported and guided by CIAPST, the China Corrosion and Protection Society, and the People's Government of Changyuan City.

Distinguished attendees at the opening ceremony included Yin Xuebin, Secretary of CIAPST; Li Xiaogang, Chairman of the China Corrosion and Protection Society; Wang Xiaohong, Deputy Director-General of the Henan Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development; and Changyuan city leaders such as Deng Guoyong, Lu Lisong, Song Taijun, Gan Linjiang, Qin Tong, and Du Yongxuan.

Key Speeches

• Yin Xuebin, representing CIAPST, congratulated the event’s opening and introduced CIAPST’s efforts in promoting international science and technology exchange, economic cooperation, and the industrialization of technology. He expressed hopes that the expo would further enhance domestic development while expanding international markets, driving innovation and transformation in Changyuan’s corrosion control industry.

• Song Taijun, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Changyuan People’s Congress, welcomed leaders, experts, and industry elites, inviting them to explore business opportunities, deepen cooperation, and support the high-quality development of the corrosion control industry.

• Wang Xiaohong highlighted Changyuan’s leadership in corrosion-resistant materials research and production. With an annual output value of nearly 50 billion RMB, the corrosion control industry accounts for over 70% of the national market and is one of Changyuan’s three main economic pillars. She encouraged Changyuan to strengthen its industrial advantages and strive for higher-quality growth.
